How to make changes to a live route
Starting with the live route, you want to edit, click on it to expand the stops list.
From here, you can add new stops or edit the address, stop setup, recipient, and order information of existing stops.
When you click the Adjust route button or make a route-affecting change to your live route, you will see a blue message appear at the top of the sidebar with the text:
Route is in editing mode - You can make changes to plan and preview routes
This indicates that the live route has now entered editing mode, and you may have unsaved changes on your route.
Changed or newly added stops will be indicated in the stops list and highlighted on the map with a pencil icon.
How to save changes made to a live route
When you have finished making changes to your live route, at the bottom of the screen, you will see two options:
Discard changes
Preview changes
If you are happy with your changes, click Preview changes.
When you click Preview changes, you will be given this option:
Reorder changed stops - Reorder only changed stops where possible
Once you select this option, your live route will be optimized, and your changes will be ready to be saved.
Click the Save changes button, and this will simultaneously save your changes and send a notification to your driver.
Driver notification
When you save changes made to a live route, your driver will automatically receive a notification within their driver app.
It tells the driver that changes have been made and gives them the option to view those changes now or later.
How to discard changes made to a live route
If at any point you want to delete edits you have made to your route, simply click the Discard changes button.
All changes made since you last clicked Save changes will be discarded. This action cannot be undone.
How to use stop status icons
Each stop on a live route has a status icon next to it. These icons update in real time as a route progresses.
On a live route you can use this information to make proactive changes to increase the chances of successful delivery.
Stop status icons can indicate that:
