Click here for a detailed guide on how to create a route.

Once you have created a route, if you need to, you can make manual changes to the details of an individual stop or a group of stops.

How to make changes to a group of stops

This is a quick and easy way to apply the same change to a group of stops.

  • Click on the route

  • Top right on the map click the dotted square 'select area' icon

  • A hexagonal grid pattern will be overlaid on the map view

  • Click to select the hexagon sections which contain the stops you want to batch-edit

  • Using the toolbar at the bottom of the map edit your group of stops

You can make the following changes to batch-edit your group of stops:

  • Stop order - first/auto/last

  • Stop type - pickup/delivery

  • Proof of delivery - required/not required

  • Set an arrival time window

  • Specify an allowed driver

  • Delete stops

  • Move stops from one route to another

Once you have made the changes you want to apply to all your selected stops:

  • Click > Apply changes

  • Preview your changes

  • Choose to save or discard your changes

How to make changes to individual stops

  • Click on the route

  • Click the stop you want to edit

You can then edit all the information associated with that stop.

How to color code a stop

If drivers have certain stops that they want to highlight on their routes, when they create a route in the driver app, they can give them a different color to make them stand out.

  • Tap on a stop to edit it

  • Tap the default blue color icon in the top left

  • Choose a different color for that stop

  • Color-coded stops will show as the chosen color on the map, and the progress bar

How to change the address, duplicate or delete a stop

Click the three icons under the stop address to:

  • Edit the address of that stop

  • Duplicate and add a copy of that stop to the route

  • Delete that stop

How to add notes about a stop for the driver

  • Click the stop you want to edit

  • Click inside the Notes box

  • Add any information that could help the driver with that stop

On arrival at a stop, any notes will be displayed to the driver, so adding notes can help them successfully complete a delivery.

How to select single/multiple stops to be attempted first/last

Dispatchers can choose single or multiple stops to be attempted first or last on a route.

The route can be planned this way if priority stops need to be made at the start of the route, or if certain stops need to be left until the end.

  • Click on the stop you want to make First/Last

  • Under Stop Setup, you will see the options First, Auto, or Last

  • If you select First, that stop will be attempted at the start of the route

  • If you select Last, that stop will be attempted at the end of the route

  • There is no min/max number of stops that can be marked as First/Last

  • If you don't select First/Last that stop by default will remain marked as Auto

  • Auto stops are fitted into the route in the most efficient order during optimization

Once you have finished making your changes, preview and save them before sending the route to a driver

Example: First/Last Stops Route Order

  • Stops A B C D E F G are uploaded to create a route

  • Stops A and D are marked as First

  • Stops B C and F are marked as Last

  • Stops E and G are marked as Auto by default

  • The route is optimized and creates this stop order > A D E G B C F

How to mark a stop as a pickup or delivery

  • Click on the stop you want to mark as a Delivery or Pickup

  • Under Stop Setup, you will see the options Delivery or Pickup

  • Select the option you need for that stop

  • This change will be saved automatically

Marking a stop as a Delivery or Pickup will automatically send the corresponding Customer Notifications. Click here to read a detailed guide on how to set up customer notifications.

How to mark a stop as requiring/not requiring proof of delivery

The ability to collect proof of delivery is only available on certain plans.

If proof of delivery is included in your plan, you can choose to turn this feature on or off for specific stops.

  • Click on the stop you want to edit

  • Under Stop Setup, you will see the proof of delivery options Required or Not required

  • Select the option you need for that stop

  • This change will be saved automatically

  • Under Stop Setup, you will see > Allowed drivers

  • Select the driver(s) you want to allow to make this stop

  • Preview and save your changes

  • The stop will now only be added to the route of a permitted driver

How to set time windows for stops

If you set an earliest and latest arrival time for a stop, this information will be used when optimizing a route to place stops at the right time.

  • Click on the stop you want to edit

  • Under Stop Setup, you will see > Arrive between now and anytime

  • Add the times you want in each box using 24hr clock format

  • This change will be saved automatically
