How to move unassigned stops between routes

How drivers can move unassigned stops from the unassigned stops list onto a route by scanning the package's barcode label

Unassigned stops with a Barcode ID can be automatically moved from the unassigned stops list to a route created by a Driver.

  • The Dispatcher uploads stop data containing Barcode IDs via spreadsheet or via an API integration

  • The Barcode ID label is attached to the physical package

  • The Driver creates a route on their driver app, and they have the option to add a stop by scanning the barcode label on the package

  • The Driver scans the barcode label on the package. That stop is then automatically moved from the unassigned stops list and added to their route

How drivers can mark packages as delivered by scanning barcodes

Stops with a barcode ID attached can be scanned at the point of delivery by a driver to mark that delivery as completed.

This permission is on by default.

To turn it off, go to > Operations > Driver settings

  • The Driver arrives at the stop and taps > Delivered

  • The barcode scanner is automatically triggered

  • It displays the stop address and barcode ID to scan

  • Scan the barcode on the package

  • Collect proof of delivery if required

On the Dispatcher dashboard to move unassigned stops to a route:

  • Select the unassigned stops you want to add to a route from the list

  • Click > Assign to route

  • Select a route from the calendar or create a new route to add them to

To move stops from a route back to the unassigned stops list:

  • Go to the route that contains the stops you want to move

  • At the top of the page click the dropdown arrow box

  • Select > Move stops

  • This will take you to the Move Stops view

  • On the From dropdown menu select the route and then stops you want to move

  • On the To dropdown select Unassigned stops

  • Click > Move stops
